The area is a little off the beaten path in a very quiet location on a hillside. You have a great view of stalis. You need about 5a 10 minutes walk to the beach of stalis. The independence of the staff was great. Very friendly, helpful and all matter for an answer. If a taxi or a rented car is needed, all at very competitive conditions and organized.
We are already for the second time and we will, if it attracts us Crete, again at Bella Vista again. Read more

Since it us there always has fallen, we have the hotel already visited compared with previous years: after the renovation the room facilities were renewed (including satellite TV) and the bathroom with shower and tub completely new-very well appointed. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. The pool is large and is cleaned regularly. We use as a base for day trips the area, therefore no evaluation of food and drinks. ... consider La Bella Vista, also consider transport, as the hill to the hotel is steep, especially in hot weather,(upto 40C last week,) unless you want to combine losing weight and toning up as part of your holiday.We had a motorbike for 4 days, but even 3 days of that walk up the hill and the 100 steps to our flat has toned my expanding waistline and I feel I have more strength generally, considering my usual sedentary work mode.Transport good, too, for access to all the fantastic places you can travel to.Sometimes, on holiday, the people you m... The Bella Vista in Stalis Aparments are situated on a hillside, located very idyllic and quiet. Of the recently renovated apartments you have an incredible view of the bay and the surrounding area, just great. The apartments are spacious, bright and clean.
The beach and Stalis town can be reached in about 15 minutes walking, where there is enough variety of restaurants, shops, bars, etc., but you can of course even in the apartment to cook something as one wants to stop, or you can snack served at the bar can be beautiful.

Nic is an excellent chef in this genre, and is available to cook anything , from the sometimes-craved English breakfast, toasties, sandwiches,chip butties, then able to dish up a traditional Cretan dinner, with lamb chops/pork souvlaki etc.

Kyria Maria and Kyrio Costas are perhaps the warmest and most friendly proprietors we have known, amongst our 10 holidays in Crete, so far,and have a good command of English, so that we were able to sit with them and discuss anything,(with a few gesticulations on both parts!
