The Boutique Hotel Belvedere, No 1 on Tripadvisor (July 2009) and recommended by many famous travel guides, has been run by its owner family every since 1907, when it was built by grandfather Hauser. And here is already one important difference. The personal touch!!

Only 5 min. walk from the bustling centre, the hotel is like sitting on its own sun terrace, offering from all sides a wonderful mountain view.
Service at the hotel
We hope that also you will consider our service "excellent". However we do not want to praise ourselves, you better read the reports at Tripadvisor or at MySwitzerland.com. The only thing we can promise. All our members of staff will do their utmost, to make you happy and they are all trying to exceed your expectations
Gastronomy in the hotel
Our chefs are preparing everything fresh and we try to buy as much as possible locally or from the near by area.
6 course gourmet dinners, with choice of dishes, that's what we are offering daily. Our daily wonderful cheese buffet and the big salad bar are just as popular as the weekly dessert buffets and local Fare buffets.
Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
We are in the middle of a wonderful mountain area. Sports are done outside, in fresh air. Skiing, tobogganing, winter hiking, snow show hiking in the winter, hiking, tennis, golf, biking, mountaineering, nordic walking in the summer.
Adventures sports like tandem paragliding (with pilot), canyoning, river rafting, sky diving... and much more are very popular in our area.
At the hotel we offer an indoor-pool, Jacuzzi, outside salt water Jacuzzi, saunas, steam bath, massages. There is also a big playroom for children of all ages.
Hotel room/Accommodation
Choose from a wide selection of different rooms and family suites. We also offer "snooring rooms", means junior-suites with a small extra bedroom. Family suites for up to 9 persons are available. All rooms are non-smoking. The ones on the north side offer a great view to the Wetterhorn Mountain and the Prealps, those to the south a sensational view to the famous Eiger (remember movies like Eiger sanction with Clint Eastwood, James Bond, The Alps, The Northface). Our rooms have different decors and colors; take a good look on our website.

Family-run hotel rated 4 star + or 4 star superior with about 50 rooms. Well kept and clean property with spacious rooms, a very good restaurant and astonishing views of the Eiger and other Alpine peaks.
We booked a family suite of 46 square meters, which is a good idea when you travel with kids. The suite comes with two bathrooms and a large balcony. The bedroom can be closed with sliding doors. Enough space for a family with 2 teenagers or 3 small kids.

We( 13 persons) were very good. Both the active skiers, as well as the pedestrians. Both the very young, as well as the older tourist. Everything was perfect. We had a wonderful holiday at the Belvedere and fully recommend it to our friends. We plan to go back and stay there again soon, it would be nice to see Grindelwald in the summer.
The breakfast buffet had something for everyone, in fact usually several somethings. In the evening the children ordered from a child or adult menu and we all really enjoyed our food all week. A pianist played every night which gave a great atmosphere.
