We agree with the previous reviews. The hotel is great (if a little dated), and the food is excellent! Every evening there was a 4-course dinner, you could choose between two main courses. The food was presented nicely. Fish a speciality appears to be in the restaurant.
Breakfast was good too.
The location of the hotel is perfect as a base for excursions. Free private parking was available.
The only negative thing: little storage space in the room and in the bathroom. Read more

We had the new year in the hotel (two nights) spent brienz. The staff was very friendly, helpful and uncomplicated. The food was really good, even for the children there was simple menus. Of course, the hotel is a bit older, but the rooms were very clean and plenty of comforts. The location is central. Can winter and summer many destinations is easily accessible. Read more

To it right on the point to make: it was at this hotel nothing to complain about, except for the very annoying street noise.
The attractive rather inconspicuous building is unfortunately directly on the main street (as but the most other hotels in brienz probably also) and the budget also clearly hear you. Even with the windows closed/door closed and unfortunately also in the night and early in the morning.
