Ok, first the (very few) Pros: - Rooms are big and airy, views are nice provided you get the more expensive ones with a view. - Rates are cheap. -Location is pretty. ....Aaaaaannnndd that's it. Cons: Jeez, where to start, really... - The whole resort is slowly falling apart. Paint is scuffed, furniture is breaking, the landscaped gardens are unattended, there's rubbish (organic and artificial) accumulating in any odd corner, the tiles in the bathroom were cracked, anything varnished outside is slowly being bleached back to ... Despite many travel I have never had such a unprofessional and unfriendly check-in experience ('... you must come back later...' -and that in the pouring rain). Room spacious, but very shabby. Bathroom always moldy, shower in lousy condition. No shower by the pool... Staff in the dining area ignorant and just busy... not to be recommended. Read more

ideal starting point in order to undertake different in St. Martin, for example: shopping in Philip Castle eight kilometer, food in grand case, ten kilometer, windsurfing or kite beach four kilometer galion ('all inclusive-territory', beginner-, smooth water to wellerevier, small station with personal flavor on site), in Marigot 15 kilometer. Hotel is right on the Marina, sailing Harbor, many Americans-but no problem, everything easy... Dinghi bar (good and inexpensive) and restaurant highly recommended, top: US dollars / €is accounted for 1... Read more

      - All of their advertised services either aren't up to what they claim them to be (their "private beach" is a piece of shingle with 4 deckchairs on it, and I've had colder baths in wintertime than the temperature of their pool) or plain don't work (there is no internet in the rooms, just in the lobby, and it is so slow it feels like you're using dial-up.

      Just stay away.

Instead, in the interest of turning a profit, they had not even advised their guests to move during the hurricane (let alone arranged for them to stay in another hotel free of charge, which is what I would have expected at the very least).

Oh, and the hot water doesn't work.

So for the 2 days Earl hit St Martin, we were stuck inside our room, in the dark day and night because of the storm blinds, with no tv, no air-conditioning, no light and no food.
