Built in 1990, with extensions added in 2001, 2002 and 2006 , CASTRO hotel lies in the middle of Amoudara town only 300m away from the famous sandy beach, just 5 km away from the centre of Heraklion.

A friendly clean and nice hotel perfect for a long stay with the family. Stayed for three weeks and it was lovely. Not the most beatiful beach in Greece but very good service and not crowded woth tourists. Read more

all together it was a great vacation. Only, the breakfast was to be leftover. Every day food and beverage no choice selection. The shower was not clean, so that we only bathing shoes shower. The room condition of the hotel was okay. I would go there nevertheless not more for the money. One would have oneself in the room a better breakfast able to conjure up. Read more

Stayed here for 1 night ( on Lake Como after the flight and to the next hotel). We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean and the front desk very pleasant. The lady at the reception spoke German. The hotel consists of three buildings. We were in the building, which was not located directly on the main street - with a view to the pool.
