As the name 'central hotel' already says, the hotel is very centrally located in Bastia. The port, the promenade, shopping possibilities and nice restaurants are directly on foot to reach. the hotel is located in one A one-way street and does not have its own parking spaces. In the street, as well as in the streets around it are however parking spaces to get, the only until 18 o'clock to pay (lunch is included in the price), and really cheap. 5 hour cost 1.50 euro. the hotel is very small the rooms too -but absolutely sweet. Hotel in general

    • in June 10
A fairly characterful traditional town hotel with reasonably comfortable and well-equipped rooms.
    • in October 09
We arrived only at 7pm at this fabulous city hotel.
    • in October 09
Unfortunately we had to leave at 7pm the next morning to catch our ferry to Nice - if i return to Corsica I will definitely stay here again
  • pleasant atmosphere
  • pleasant hotel

Good were: breakfast: (very well served, ample choice of healthy, fruity or otherwise and coffee and hot milk refreshed without asking) Service -very friendly staff, sometimes laid back which all added to feeling comfortable Rooms clean but be prepared for a little old fashioned (but charming) arrangements - it is a nice old building and it would be a shame to 'modernise' it Not so good - the stairs up to reception and then onwards to rooms but only relevant to less fit guests (and staff will readily help - just ask if unsure) Like many we were on our way through so stayed there at commencement and end of two week holiday.

However, we found the hotel to have several negative aspects, the major one being the many stairs one has to climb (with one's luggage) to reach the hotel bedrooms.

Comfortable bed, very clean shower room etc, though the shower simply vented into the room.
  • cosy Rooms
    • in June 10
Both rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable, and though there is no lift hotel reception staff carried my suitcase up and down the stairs for me without being asked, and they also readily agreed to my request to leave my suitcase at reception for several hours after I'd checked out - there was no charge for this service.

Comfortable bed, very clean shower room etc, though the shower simply vented into the room.
    • in October 09
The room was very French, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very spacious.
  • expensive furnishing
    • in June 10
The (double) room I had was fairly small and the storage space (or lack of) could make it cramped for a couple for more than a night or two.
  • without air-conditioning room

There was no-one readily available to help us with our luggage when we arrived and, when we finally departed, a lovely little maid who serves breakfast, insisted on lugging our large cases down the two large flights of steps for us.

Apart from the general lack of helpfulness, the manager charged us 40 euros to store a large case and a small bag for five days!
    • in November 09
There was no Interent provision for people without laptops, even for payment.
