As the name 'central hotel' already says, the hotel is very centrally located in Bastia. The port, the promenade, shopping possibilities and nice restaurants are directly on foot to reach.
the hotel is located in one A one-way street and does not have its own parking spaces. In the street, as well as in the streets around it are however parking spaces to get, the only until 18 o'clock to pay (lunch is included in the price), and really cheap. 5 hour cost 1.50 euro.

Good were: breakfast: (very well served, ample choice of healthy, fruity or otherwise and coffee and hot milk refreshed without asking) Service -very friendly staff, sometimes laid back which all added to feeling comfortable Rooms clean but be prepared for a little old fashioned (but charming) arrangements - it is a nice old building and it would be a shame to 'modernise' it Not so good - the stairs up to reception and then onwards to rooms but only relevant to less fit guests (and staff will readily help - just ask if unsure) Like many we were on our way through so stayed there at commencement and end of two week holiday. - in July 10

However, we found the hotel to have several negative aspects, the major one being the many stairs one has to climb (with one's luggage) to reach the hotel bedrooms.

Comfortable bed, very clean shower room etc, though the shower simply vented into the room.

Both rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable, and though there is no lift hotel reception staff carried my suitcase up and down the stairs for me without being asked, and they also readily agreed to my request to leave my suitcase at reception for several hours after I'd checked out - there was no charge for this service.

The room was very French, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very spacious.

The (double) room I had was fairly small and the storage space (or lack of) could make it cramped for a couple for more than a night or two.

There was no-one readily available to help us with our luggage when we arrived and, when we finally departed, a lovely little maid who serves breakfast, insisted on lugging our large cases down the two large flights of steps for us. - in November 09

I note that another reviewer comments on the fact that there is no free Internet terminal in the hotel - true, but there's a good, cheap Internet cafe about 5 minutes walk away.
