Nice, functional hotel, right in the middle of Manhattan. In 2 minutes walk to the Flatiron Building or at Madison Square Park. The rest of Manhattan walking distance to "drain out". In the hotel there was, partly German speaking, very nice and helpful concierges. As was the staff. It is no longer the newest hotel, but we found it to be perfectly adequate. Read more

Right on the Madison Square Park and the Flatironbuilding located hotel, where the location the smaller weaknesses, the rather age related deterioration, Outweighs. There were mostly Americans there, what an authentic atmosphere.
The room was quite spacious. There was a TV and a safe-deposit box. All a bit tired, but clean. Since it was cold, I was on the hot air from the air conditioning, the room warmed quickly and the coffee machine, also good, very grateful to make a cup of tea.

Booked this hotel by internet for 5 nights with breakfast (included!)$1040 for our tour with daughter booked 4/27/07 thru 4/29/07, wanted as much as possible into sightseeing and culture "take-away and needed so really only sleep the hotel for the evening.
