The Copenhagen Island hotel lies in the port copenhagen, Denmark and thus only a few minutes' walk away from the town center and most pub Attractions. The hotel opened 2006 opened and has a modern, light design. The room ( in my case a double room with view of the harbor) was spacious and very clean. Both the reception -, as well as the cleaning staff were very friendly and accommodating. We can recommend the hotel for a city trip to Copenhagen. It is a bit outside of the main city and is easily reached by car. In front of the hotel there is on-site parking spaces, but not very cheap (about 35 Euro per day). The rooms are rather small, include but everything, which one needed (wireless Internet is available free of charge). The breakfast buffet was not outstanding, but adequate. The hotel Copenhagen island is a design hotel with a maritime theme. It has amongst others a small reception area, restaurant, Conference rooms, internet connection as well as rooms distributed over 5 floors. The walls of the main building are completely glazed, as well as there are two glass lifts (and a normal). The most rooms are non-smoking, we believe, however, that there was a smoking room (since the non-smokers character not on each door was).
