Directions we had to find the hotel were poor but the arrival was OK Especially appreciated the help from Isabelle on the reception desk who settled us in promptly and in a friendly way.

The road noise was appalling, the room was small and shabby, with a massive roof beam just in front of the bathroom door and a small step up into the batthroom to catch you out if you missed the beam.

The hotel is located about a third of a mile walk from the old town which is lovely, historic with plenty of bars and restaurants and a brochure was given and the walking route into the town explained to us.

The location was not as ideal as it seemed from the map: it was difficult to find from the autoroute (complex road layout in Troyes); a 20 minute walk to Troyes centre for restaurants (none at hotel or thereabouts).
