From 1988 until 2006 we were per year twice per week 1 at the hotel and were very pleased. We had the best breakfast of Rio. Now, 2011, the opposite is the case. It is the worst breakfast with absolute self-service. You have to get it from the cradle to the cup of everything from the buffet. The quality of the cheese and ham and Mortadella is the bad. The location of the hotel is really great. All interesting destinations are all within easy reach. The rooms are furnished nicely for South America. Tv with German channels. The restaurant is on the roof. We had a great view to the sugar loaf. The breakfast is for Germans not so wide expectations. Buffet style with breads cold cuts and some more. But if you wanted to sit in Rio is normally not in the hotel. All who would like to explore the city and not pay too much, I would highly recommend this hotel. Read more
