We have been staying at the Derby for many years, originally as a family and now as a couple. we have always had wonderful holidays here and now, as we tend to go skiing at the same time each year, we meet up with the same people from other parts of Europe who have also been returning year after year. The Derby Team must be doing something right! This is he first time we have stayed at The Derby and it exceeded expectations. We had a wonderful relaxing holiday.
The hotel is traditional and delightful. The location, at the side of the railway station is superb and as it is a cog railway - no noise from the trains!!.
The food was superb and plentiful. All the staff are pleasant, helpful and keen to discuss your day with you.
From the moment we arrived until our departure everything was perfect, it was like a stay in the owners own home!

I have stayed at the Derby many times over the past 12 years. The quality of the service, food, rooms, and cleanliness has stayed consistent over the years. The service is second to none and the food is wonderful. We choose to eat there every night because the food is so outstanding. Love the location by the train station and the views from the balconies are fabulous. Have recommended the hotel to a number of friends and family and everyone has had a favorible experience. The Derby Hotel was very convenient for our Ski Group, next to the rail station with no noise from trains even on the rail side of the hotel.
