This hotel is in a really stunningly beautiful location. Up on the Dolder residential area it offers a beautiful view over the city of Zurich and the lake. Very close to the forest and other recreational areas on Dolder hill (eg ice rink). Can be accessed by a small cogwheel train (Dolder Railway) which stops right at the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel as such urgently needs some refurbishment. The rooms and the restaurant are not up to standard anymore and it is a really pity as such a location deserves a much better hotel. Even though the hotel is a ways from the city center their free shuttle and the Dolder Bahn (both unique modes of transportation) got you quickly into town and being up on the hill it was exceptionally quiet .
