Hotel Don Camilo

Small straightforward and family hotel with sometimes a bit 'too friendly' staff: our small son especially the waiters were often too pushy inside. Thanks to a special trip was the price/performance ratio for us, from the four star we would withdraw compared to other four stars hotels, mainly because of the food. It was so far okay, but not at all four stars standard. ... spent our vacation in Sant Elm. Three years ago we stayed at the hotel aquamarin and now in Don Camillo. We booked a apartment type A. the apartment is very spacious and has a small kitchen with microwave. Also the bathroom with a large shower impressed us. But the best was the large terrace overlooking the sea. We had half board and in contrast to choose what we had in the hotel aquamarin, we were a little disappointed. After 2009 our second stay at the Don Camilo and again it was very pleasant. Breakfast (€per person eight) and evening bread (14 €per person) offer we didn't used. The well-equipped kitchenette with microwave and the huge terrace allowing a relaxing, quiet meals. The town of Sant Elm is away from the mass tourism, a car is recommended. There is a bus service to Andratx, and from there to Palma. The small beach is very clean and not crowded October at least at the beginning. Unfortunately, on the day of arrival our booked room wasn't't receiving. The real reason is not familiar to us, certainly overbooking. The hotel boss Mrs. R. went out of their way to the US for the next two days stay as pleasant as possible to designed, so no disadvantages for the next twelve days emerged. This small mishap should not underestimate the hotel. Every year, since Sant Elm is a hidden gem. I hope it remains a quiet fishing village. Read more

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. The many stairs are especially for disabled people, a major obstacle. A lift is only up to the hotel entrance. The other floors have numerous stairs. We had rented for the duration of their stay in the car and were able to explore the island by several excursions therefore very good. By public transport would be difficult or impossible this. A disadvantage was, that the hotel has no parking and you often had to find trouble, a car park nearby. The Bay of San Telmo is rather small and quiet. Read more
