We were 17 people and all very happy at Hotel Donat. The food was really good and there was something for every taste. The hotel staff was very friendly and always helpful. Complaints were handled immediately and without conditions carried out. The rooms were cleaned every day. The pool was always clean, the water temperature pleasant. Next to Donat is hotel Zadar - in very poor condition.
I guess enough activities for everybody, the pool was OK, but we were swimming in the sea.
About the beach: it's a hotel complex beach, so the other people (who are not the hotel guests) must pay for visit the beach. Reasonable. But in this case I would expect much less garbage on the floor. And there is a sign: no dogs, no scooters, no bikes! Nobody cares. Even the "ZADAR security" drives the scooter when passing the beach.... Read more

We stayed in a family room, which consisted of two rooms, a bathroom, a small kitchen corner and a balcony. It is great for a family, even with three or more children.
We had all inclusive offer, the food was tasty. You can use the all inclusive bar from 10 am to 10 pm.
The swimming pool was nice with warm water, unfortunately there was no outdoor toilet .

The personnel was rather unfriendly, floor in the room was from laminate, so was moved as the of the children have hurt, with 1a 2 centimeter gap in the middle of it all, the food was always the same and from the day before. Entertainment is equal to 0. At the risk of injury is, are replaced by those made from wood and not attached. Mainly pensioners and school children without supervision. It was just not beautiful. First night the floor of my room was crawling with ants, otherwise the room was clean, maybe not a bad point but hotel is a 30 min coastal walk from old town, there are busses tho, there is only one computer in lobby and internet expensive to use,

The hotel staff was very friendly, they understood English and also (I was very suprised) Slovak or Czech (a lot of people there was from Slovakia), and I heard them also speaking German (the German or Austrian company owns this hotel - we saw there lots of people from Germany).

A little poor were sport activities and I was also a little bit disappointed with services involved in all-inclusive (excepting food and drinks, of course) because we could just play table-tennis and go to a beach (of Hotel Donat and a sand beach of another hotel) for free and any other services (like the internet access, for example) we had to pay for.

To noon and evening bread Vorsuppe, hors-d'oeuvre corner (with different salads, inserted vegetables, tomatoes) potatoes, fries, rice, different noodle sorts and the suitable sauces in addition (I would arrange as Italian), each day at least 2 different sorts fish (shark, Kalamaris, Seehecht and other Adria Fischsorten - thus rather native) cooked, grilled, roasted - a paradise for fish lovers.
