For anyone who has a Städetreise plan to New York, we found that this hotel is the perfect starting point. The room rate is New York usual high, but the rooms are comparatively with other experiences in Manhattan - relatively large, very clean and not necessarily trendy but tidy (room safe, huge flatscreen TV, bath, large bed) decorated. We would recommend this hotel only for its location. This is very good, all attractions are nearby. At most 15-20 minutes. Otherwise, it is an aging house. The wallpaper loose the walls. Bad decor only relatively clean. If you are our bags in storage you have to pay $1 per Stüch, both the suitcases supplying if you when you want to get them back again. A lot of nerve, unlike anything else we have experienced in any hotel and we have been on all continents. Read more

Half of the rooms has back window and you get to see the about 20 meters away house opposite. Because the room is quite dark. The condition of the room was 'tired', the sanitary facilities work partly not, the air conditioning is appropriate (right in the room is no central area as well as in modern buildings) and jump 1x per minute, in the lower floors are the cheaper rooms, in which you constantly hear the ventilation of air conditioners of the lobby. ... we didn't really have needed a place to stay but no more than that. We stayed 4 nights at the Doubletree and before the last night on our floor with the being renovated.
