It was now our fourth stay in the duas Torres the old fashioned hotel you can recommend really no longer, in spite of the gorgeous area and the large, free car park for the hired car. Also the free hotel bus in the city since last year set, from savings.

The hotel is located in the capital Funchal and is about 2.5 kmvom centre. Directly opposite is a large shopping center, which was (almost) all bases covered. There is a bus stop directly in front of the hotel. The hotel room was one of the largest, in which I have stayed. The drive rather could miss bigger and actually have aleady CRT. From the hotel balcony you could enjoy from early morning to late night a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean and watch the occasional ships. We choose this hotel again and can only recommend it. We were very pleased with everything! It is to recommend to rent a car, but that should be in Germany. We stayed at Europcar and that was very good! Read more

The hotel is in a only acceptable condition.
The breakfast buffet is very simple, small selection, and no variety, it was each day the same. The quality of the food was also not famous, it was for example only instant juice!

The hotel duas Torres is, as the name suggests, of two towers and is located in the hotel zone area in the West Funchal right by the steep coast. The reception is friendly, but only english speaking. For Madeira english language skills are actually essential, if you want to be dependent not on the travel agent. Rooms are spacious, with spacious balconies the age appropriate signs of usage are not to be overlooked, but who sits (just as hiker) all day in a hotel room?? The breakfast is adequate for every, some variation would not hurt but you rewarded with sea views from the terrace.

Discounted pool bar rates, restricted parking lot directly in front of the hotel, the rooms are really huge and clean, the breakfast buffet more than enough and the hotel's own shuttle bus drove several times daily to the center and back.
