The Hotel Duque de Nájera is located in front of the beach, next to the fishing port and marina in the old quarters of Rota. This building, located on the north peak of the Bay of Cadiz, to the southeast of western Andalusia and bathed by the Atlantic Ocean has been home to many different cultures and civilisations such as the Tartesos, the Romans, the Arabs and the Christians. It is surrounded by 16 km of magnificent golden sandy beaches where several fine urban beaches stand out, such as "La Costilla" and "El Rompidillo" which boast splendid promenades and also natural beaches such as "Punta Candor" or "Los Corrales", natural monuments, landscaped by massive pine forests and "La Ballena".
In Rota you can enjoy marvellous natural environments: parks, botanic gardens, the Mayetería centre, the interpretation centre of the Coastlines and the Corrals, the shoreline walks, the green path and offers visitors a wide and rich gastronomy based on local products: "Urta a la roteña" (Rota style red sea bream), "Arranque roteño" (a local speciality made with tomatoes, peppers and garlic), "Berza" (type of cabbage) and its famous "Tintilla" wine. The hotel several criteria is positive: in the zentralst old town, immediate at the beach, large rooms, best service, no tourist in the city except the own hotel: about ChristmasYear mostly German Seniors, some English, to new year a few Spanish families.
Downside, the extra charges: safe, private garage (!), view of the sea costs extra.

hotel in great location, right next to the sea and at the old town. it is worthwhile in any case room with a view of the sea to book. Rarely was the extra charge so well laid out as here. the rooms are beautiful. the balcony bears his name with good reason. very attentive staff.
