Hotel Eiger

Thursday, 5 November 2009, I as a guest in the restaurant and I order 3DL Dôle and a cordon bleu. Wine cost CHF 14,10 but was brought in a glass, it reminded of this from the last century. Wine offered corresponding not specifically. The cordon bleu frîtes with fries and vegetables, price CHF 29,50, reminded more of a Hamburger outside without bread, as a cordon bleu. ... time at the Eiger . For us it is like coming home. Breakfast and supper are served. Breakfast is a buffet with meats, cereal, yogurts, juice, breads, cheese, and eggs which you can boil yourself. Coffee and hot chocolate is available at the table. Supper is served and it consists of five courses : a small starter course, soup or juice, a salad bar with many fresh vegetables and greens and swiss smoked meats, a main course with more than enough food and desert. ... many restaurants in the village. There is a restaurant downstairs and a bar at the Hotel Eiger . This hotel is a 1 minute walk from the train station, and in the center of the village right near the grocery store, the bakery etc. You cannot find a better location! Each week there is an organized hiking tour which I did not join but I understand that they are well run. There is no computer in the hotel for guests yet.... Read more

The hotel has a great location and we very much enjoyed the view from the balcony. The rooms are pretty basic and the price is pretty high for what you get. Read more
