Nice touches for me include available coffee at all hours of the day, complimentary ethernet and wireless, the honor bar with drinks you can select yourself, the Bose radio, the easy to adjust air conditioning, power plugs in just the right places, tasteful furnishings, and the very comfortable bed.

The decor was blah, many pages were missing from the room service menu and I suspect my room had not been cleaned after the last guest - Many of the bathroom amenities were missing, the bath mat was on the floor beside the bed and the sheets were obviously dirty. - in November 09

Wedding tips: Use the El Convento wedding planners - Paola was ours and was awesome, get the Presidential suite for the nights around your wedding - it is a great place for the bride to get ready, use Patio Nispero for the ceremony, and use Salon Campache for the reception. - in January 10

Because you are in Old San Juan, there is no beach within walking distance, but there's a beach just a 10-minute taxi ride away if you want to catch some rays, or you could just lay by the small hotel pool that over-looks Old San Juan and the bay.
