We spent one week of all inclusive holiday in an oversized hotel area with hundreds of tourists. Maximum two-story, white building complexes and bungalows in oriental building design in a very extensive area. During the day, they liked to save electicity so that you walked through totally black corridors when you came form the sunny weather outside. The buildings needed renovation at many spots. In the dining room, the plaster was peeling off at certain spots due to the damp-ridden walls. You preferred not to think of mold. During the day,... Large, extensive hotel area. However, you couldn't see much of garden upkeep, flower upkeep and trash collection!!! We had all inclusive catering, just one restaurant for so many guests (surely more than 1000), much too few!! Most waiters didn't know much about friendliness and industriousness. I was looking for clean plates and silverware very often. Those who are used to cultivated behavior, no matter if at eating or at the beach or pool, surely didn't feel comfortable there!!! Mainly Estern European, Swiss and French guests. Beautifull... Continue reading the hotel review,in September 09Evi, Age 26-30, CoupleRead 189 times - 67% helpful

I can confirm everything - all the extreme drawbacks that the previous tourists have said about this hotel. After one night we moved to Iberostar (just fresh renovated). We had to confirm Melia Menzel in written form, in order no to file a complaint by the travel agent, otherwise we had to wait to pay cancellation penalty for three days. The only cheekiness! Regards to the booker- and Jahn-travels which still always offer the hotel! Continue reading the hotel review,in April 06Yvonne, Age 31-35, FriendsRead 75 times - 50% helpful

The Bungalow was smelly, it was only used to sleep; the carpet was as old as the hotel. Our room in a bungalow was fine, but that depended on tip too. It was not very cheap, but we only used it to sleep; the safe deposit box was included. Friendliness depended on tip. For a three week trip, the price was good but we would not go back to the hotel. To Djerba we would happily go back. Excepting the breakfast, the food was ok. In five days we had two entire days 1 kind of saussage, and the coffee was very bad. The hotel needs a big rennovation...
