We booked this hotel Fortunately only for a night booked because it is really not recommendable. The hotel lies across the street from the main station and has very good connections to public transport and in the immediate vicinity there are many restaurants, shops, etc. unfortunately, we have to say, that the Paddington especially at night was not really pleasant. Run-down hotel, dirty carpets, very noisy (on loud street, opposite the train station, badly insulated windows, construction in the hotel), shower worked-not complaint was ignored. Front desk was friendly upon arrival. Read more

The staff at the reception was very friendly and competent. We had a renovated room with also renovated and clean bathroom and thus no reason to complain. The stairwell was not renovated, but the us not to bother. The breakfast buffet was not very extensive, but OK. I stayed at the Empire for 2 nights with some friends.
The Hotel is very simple and with basic services.
The rooms are decently sized, clean, 2 or 3 beds, a small desk, a closet, a small television.
The bathroom is ok, clean and decent.
Nothing seems very new nor very old.
The location is ok, quite central, at walking distance to both the old town and the "Grund" but being close to the station it doesn't seem as the the safest area, still i can't say it is unsafe as Luxembourg City seems like a very safe place.
