The hotel in general
Miguel and Almudena have been visiting the Cinco Villas ravine, in the southern foothills of the Gredos mountain range, for many years. For this reason it seemed the obvious place for them to create their hotel project. La Posada was originally a colonial-owned grocery store as can still be seen in its well-preserved shop windows full of objects from times past. Other corners of the house that are cosy and peaceful are the sitting room with a fireplace and the patio at the back of the hotel used for barbecues in the summer. The bedrooms are surprisingly spacious and well decorated in addition to the welcoming details such as fruit, chocolate and a kettle for preparing a comforting cup of tea. There is also a wine cellar in the basement, excavated in 1823 which has been carefully lit.
