Gastronomy in the hotel
The restaurant “A Morgadinha” is situated in a building connected to the Quintinha de São João. The architecture is traditionally Madeiran, and delights its visitors with a large variety of regional and international delicacies. The speciality of the house is Goan cuisine and, all this combined with professional yet personal service, assures a delicious meal in a welcoming ambiance.

In the “Vasco da Gama” Bar, savour pleasurable moments and be refreshed by the many cocktails and specialities on offer. There is an amazing view over the bay of the city of Funchal which makes this an delightful place to stop during the day or night.


Sports, entertainment and pool in the hotel
The temperate climate of the island lends itself perfectly to the opportunity of leisure pursuits and relaxation. There are two heated swimming pools to choose from; the indoor or outdoor pool. Situated on the second floor of the main building, there is the newly enclosed indoor pool which provides a breathtaking view over the sea and mountains. The outdoor swimming pool is in the garden adjacent to the SPA and has its own bar facilities.

The Quintinha de São João offers thirty-three rooms, six suites and three junior suites.
