The hotel consists of 2 wings-the historic, the beginning of the 20. Century constructed was, and in the late years of the same century added, optically not so appealing part. These are connected, you have to change only on the third floor the elevator and are right on the clean, clear sea. The hotel is all in all tastefully designed and furnished (very beautiful Photographs in the hallways!), a little less carpet would not hurt. Well maintained and cleaned. This hotel was also bombed during Yugoslavia war in 1991-93. During renovation it was built a new wing beside the old wing.
We had booked a deluxe room with a balcony and seaview and got it from the old wing. We were lucky to get a big room (35 sqm) with a big balcony. The sizes of rooms and balconies varies much in the old wing. Also the balconies of the old wing are not very private.
The views from the balcony are great. But beware if you book a classic room you have a road or wall view.

The hotel is located right on the sea front overlooking the old town of Dubrovnik. Although there is a generous size, the entrance hall is very small, if ede decorated.
We were in a suite 3 a.m. ) in comparison, but even the was relatively small. The views of the sea and the old town is but much more than made up for it. As the hotel is right on a busy street, I would definitely recommend sea view. Balcony with places to sit which was sufficient.
