Our bed was broken and held together with pieces of string!! Arrived at 5. 00 am no-one on duty on Reception - it was suggested that we wait until 7. 00 am!! Receptionist was eventually roused from his bed after a lot of fuss. One swimming pool is conveniently situated next to a sewage plant - the smell around the deep end is disgusting! Staff were really rude. Breakfast was included but not worth the trek to the sea front! The Neorio Restaurant over the road was a great find and kept us sane! On arrival, the rooms had not been clean. Beds were unmade, no towels were provided and there was no toilet roll. Rooms were not provided with any clean towels - all week. The hotel is midlarge, situated very close to the beach. The first room on the groundflooer was gross. Totally dirty and the door didnt get closed. The second room on the first floor was right near the pool and there I've experienced the most terrible night of my life. There were 200 mildew estimated in our room. The next day we've got a studio. It was in order. Clean and with air-conditioning. One cannot really say that the personnel was kind. Everybody acted like they would not understand our wishes. And they have constantly promised us... After the terrible weather storm in October you were trying very hard in order to improve the situation. Complaints were immediately taken care of. Unfortunately some of the personnel understood neither English nor German, but the hotel manager - yound and friendly - was very hard working. Food good. The place is great to stroll in the evenings, even at the end of October you have many possibilities. The hotel is designed a lot for the alone travelers.
