During an extended hiking weeks we booked for two nights at the end of the day in the hotel in Waldeck unspoiled by Hermann. We were received very cordially and also when we on the next day in the primeval forest and trail had in the pouring rain on our landlady standing by to the right track asked, staff was very friendly and tried hard, on the right road to take. This is the 3 -star hotel to large side pension. The advertised lake view there is only from the first floor. Must book at least a comfort room, a standard room is very sparse. ( We had booked certain comforts but got standard. ) Our room was updated, but the old furniture ( early 70 's? ) and curtains were again have been granted. The bathroom had a shower with glass doors (very nice) but a much to loud fan. The balcony was huge ( hillside location of the hotel, so in the EC already with balcony), and thus we walked but it is directly on th... Read more

The Seeschlösschen is a small family-run hotel, and they make you feel that way made me feel very welcome and almost at home! Looking for a quiet, very relaxing night in comfortable beds, can relax with a rich breakfast buffet good way to start the day. There are a lot of attractions and hiking trails. We spent a very beautiful relaxing vacation. Our room had a great view of the edersee and the mountains. The massages in the on-site Beauty studio is very recommendable. Wishes and suggestions were met promptly. Read more
