The hotel guests were mainly from Greece, so the staff speaks English, and German, don't get only train station, also vas the service and the food left a lot to be desired, but there are about 20 minutes, by foot, very good tavernas, eat you very well. In front of the hotel there is a bus stop in the city, about 10 minutes drive, the beach is nothing special, very Steinnig and there are only a beach bar, but not really for food - In short, there are better hotels in Kalamata. As part of a study tour we spent one night at the hotel Filoxenia. The hotel is located at the end of the quayside in Kalamata right on the sea front ( between the hotel and the beach there is no street). From the property has direct access to the pebble beach.
