We have had many wonderful trips to the Erzgebirge, and each time we stay at Zur-Schmiede with Uta Springer. She has very good service, very friendly and her staff ,which includes Peggy Nestler is a wonderful cook. Food is great, with original German cooking. Breakfast is a nice extra each morning. My family (including my sons) travel to Germany and we always are welcome at Zur-Schmiede, the area has many wonderful German traditions and friendly people. I will continue to visit often, Christmas is great.

A very comfortable, extremely clean and well-kept hotel in a quiet location. A large garden with pond and places to sit used to be. The rooms are functional equipped and daily cleaned. The centre of annaberg is easily accesible on foot. The owner gladly give advice for trips into the environment and friendly in their ability to communicate in other languages.
Conclusion: highly recommended for holiday and for shorter stays as business trips. Read more

... After our first stay in the inn 'Zur schmiede' we had a very good experience and definitely wanted on our next vacation in the Ore Mountains there again. This time we were greeted warmly and openly about the hostess Uta knight. As at our last visit we got a very nice room with a view of the garden. This time, we had booked the half board. The breakfast was delicious and dinner offered many traditional dishes, the lovingly prepared and tasted very good.

The double rooms were big enough and in good quality attractively furnished and decorated. The mattresses on the beds are also good quality. The bathroom is functional and friendly. Hand and bath towels were sufficiently available. All in all a very coherent and neat.

Our stay at the Gasthof smithy in Annaberg-Buchholz and was very nice and even though we booked last minute, everything was to our satisfaction. We were immediately at the Gasthof very friendly and brought to our room, which was very comfortably furnished. We had everything you needed; TV, shower and a balcony. The quiet location suited us when we come back in the evening at the Gasthof arrived.
