The hotel was perfect for our trip. In the first moment we were very surprised about the Spartan furnishings, the room was rather dark as candy colors in the pictures on the Internet.
I had a queen size bed, on which we slept very well, the living room/bedroom was big enough with a table, chairs, desk, television and safe. So everything you needed. Towels were changed every day. A Sädtereise would return to this hotel any time! The hotel is in a very good location, everything was good and easy to reach. The decor is very special, the rooms are functional. Our room was very clean and the bathroom every day clean towels! Wireless in the room not working but it was free. The Internet room and the lobby, however worked without any problems. Read more

We were in the June 2011 for four nights in the hotel Gershwin in new York. On holidaycheck we have found a very cheap offer (45 euro per night per person).
Afterwards I would make it not more, I can not recommend this hotel. The location of the hotel is really very good (right on the 5th Avenue). The lobby of the hotel and the attached restaurant is also very nice. However, our room was poor (superior room). Although i was a bit surprised at first of the room mate set up (the rooms being co-ed), i was very pleased with the stay- the rooms were clean and the location was perfect as to where i needed to be- the staff was very pleasant and the hotel was very trendy and had a culture all its own- its on my lists of places to stay again when i venture back to the city.

Don't go there for five star luxury but if you want roomy, clean and quirkily decorated place to stay(being an ''Art'' hotel they had very cool art exhibited in all areas of the hotel) with a comfortable bed at a great price, this is the place for you.

Fun typical NY hotel made a older impression is but beautiful clean the staff is also very friendly lageist it quite good about five minutes on the metro to the corner are some coffee shops where you can have breakfast in the morning, reasonably priced.
