I was for the second time in the Gezira garden and drive next year completely certainly again there. Was first in Cairo, then in the desert and at the end still a week relaxation in luxor. I had never feel threatened and can only people invoke, after Egypt to travel. The people there are now need us. The hotel Gezira garden is a small jewel in the West bank, off the beaten track the beaten track. Positive:
small hotel with excellent kitchen. The dinner was on the roof terrace served, the thank god plastic reasonably wind up close. The breakfast room is on the ground floor.
nice garden, the relatively well maintained is.

condition of the room and cleanliness description spotteten. Was it in the room freezing and smelled of wet Cement.
Blood on the walls from dead mosquitoes, dank and stinky bed sheets and towels (1 piece per day and person).

Small, very personally managed hotel. No Massenunterkunft and very personal care. Attentive staff and good food. Excursions in the area be arranged. Had a apartment with two bathrooms- everything very clean. Over small technical problems one sees gladly away. Had only booked breakfast -you can (but not ) then evenings à la carte and is flexible. Nationalities ( English, German, Dutch, French, Danes ), age mostly from middle 40.

Short update of this year. Everything else see my previous reviews. Hotel despite changes in Misr well visited and booked. Staff completely, no-one had to be dismissed. A new garden restaurant has been added. The roof terrace has a new shady roofs. It was nice and family. Look forward to seeing you. Read more

The Gezira garden like us again and again We were now already for the third time here (2005.2009 & 2011) This family hotel is not a sterile X-star hotel an anonymous hotel chain It is a small, cute, individual house with many strengths and small drawbacks Especially to be highlighted is the wonderful rooftop restaurant with Egyptian food excellent!
About it is 300m footpath to the public ferry (passage about 0.13 euro) and you are in the middle of the Luxor temple in Luxor, Luxor museum or bazaar
