New Glamour for a South Tyrolean Mountain Hotel
Welcome to change at Hotel Gitschberg in Maranza
When it comes to living 1400m high up in the Alps, Nature is our best teacher. As it changes from season to season it preserves and renews. Taking our lesson from this harmonious flow, as we renovate our Hotel Gitschberg, we want to preserve what has stood the test of time, while venturing out into new realms.
As from the end of July you can experience a natural, fresh mountain feeling: in new light-flooded rooms that complement the existing building in a modern style rooted in tradition. Our enlarged dining room invites you to relish authentic South Tyrolean delicacies while you enjoy the breathtaking view of the Dolomite mountains. And our Fenilia spa with its panorama pool offers you yet more room for relaxed recreation.
Look forward to easygoing days, hospitality that comes from the heart and the joy of living close to Nature at the new Hotel Gitschberg Maranza.

Peace and a magnificent panorama at Hotel Gitschberg
Welcome to Maranza, the prime look-out above Val Pusteria
You can see more from a distance; that much is clear as soon as you arrive. The Gitschberg hotel is located at the finest spot in Maranza, directly where the Val Isarco and Val Pusteria meet. Here, on a sunny wooded mountainside, you can find peace and quiet away from the hurly-burly of everyday life. Nature and sport await you outside the door. The fine Hotel is just 300 metres from the lift that will take you up to Gitschberg skiing and walking area.
Practically all rooms and the large panoramic terrace of the Gitschberg Hotel have unobstructed views of the unique landscape: from the Val Isarco right up to the Plan de Corones. Opposite, the Sass de Putia rises steeply up from the surrounding mountains. From Plose, your gaze wanders to the Sassolungo and Sassopiatto peaks and on to the Alpe di Siusi with the unmistakable outline of the Sciliar. In the background can clearly be seen the impressive massif of the Catinaccio. The Dolomites have rarely seemed so close. Seldom will such a panorama open the heart wide.

The genuine taste of South Tyrol
Enjoyment at the heart of nature in Maranza
Down-to-earth and natural, as befits South Tyrol. From time immemorial we have had a passion for unsophisticated food, and the cuisine of Hotel Gitschberg Maranza upholds this tradition. It makes for a creative combination of subtle refinement and wholesome ingredients. We make sure to buy our produce from local farmers whom we know and trust. Our culinary repertoire follows the seasons and focuses on home-made, biologically valuable dishes.
South Tyrol’s highly appreciated wine tradition fills our well-stocked cellar. Our wine list is enriched with carefully selected products of our passionate young pioneers of the Isarco valley. Taste and enjoy!

We stayed in a new modern and very tastefully furnished room high above the valley the Adlerhorstblick on the Dolomites enjoyed. The friendliness and competence of the hoteliers or of the staff left nothing to be desired. Some rooms demand certainly a palatability enhancement. The recuperation and holiday happiness was perfect. Read more
