Hotel Glarus Beach

The hotel from many regular guests visited. Direct beach location (we had a beautiful view of the sea). Only something for music lovers. Food is simple but tasty (twice but from the day before reheated). Tip: five stars hotel Helena once to evening eat/not expensive. Conclusion: price-performance ratio absolutely okay. We read a lot about the Glarus beach and because of the good reviews definitely therefor. Unfortunately, that was a mistake. The hotel is in a good condition, we had a room on the six floor with a beautiful view of the sea. The room was large and the bathroom was also nicely. But that was it. The cleaning service made only with tip. The bathroom was not cleaned. The sink three times in two weeks and the shower was also regularly. The hotel is basic, but clean, as well as the rooms. Surprisingly good was the quality of the food-not great but good (have stayed in hotels of other countries already worse, not least in Spain). Pool a simple average but very clean. The beach was actually great, could be a bit cleaner. Flaw of the hotel: there was not a safe in the room and had to be specially paid (about 20 euro per week). A decent, great hotel. It is nothing to do in the hotel, but it must not be, because the door is enough. We will be back. The house is newly renovated and improved. Since the season 2009 the hotel boasts the very large outdoor swimming pool, which is already completely in the shade from about 16-17 o'clock. There was always a lifeguard and the pool was cleaned daily, but it was very cold. A free beach chair (and to parasol) was always to find, even if you came a little later.
