The hotel in general
Globetrotter’s B&B is an antique building that has been recently renovated. We are located in the historical center of Catania, between the old fish market and Ursino castle, 200m from the central square, the cathedral and the main street Via Etnea. Globetrotter is within walking distance from the main monuments, restaurants, pubs and discos.
The airport is only 15 minutes by car from our B& B and 5 minutes away from the railway station and the port. Our rooms are very comfortable with the following facilities: ensuite bathrooms, air conditioning, TV, DVD, free wireless, regular internet point and hairdryer.
In the same building we also have independents apartments with fully equipped kitchens, bathrooms, air conditioning, Satellite TV, DVD player, HiFi stereo, free internet and hairdryers. With us, you can enjoy all the facilities of a hotel but also all the joys of low cost hostel accommodation in Catania’s city center.
Hotel location
Globetrotter Catania Bed and Breakfast is located in the heart of the historical centre of Catania next to the old fish market “A Piscaria”, 100 metres from the Duomo Square with the cathedral and the elephant statue. Behind the B&B you will find the Ursino Castle and further down the street there is the greek theatre, Roman amphitheatre and the famous Via Crociferi with Bellini’s Home. Via Etnea begins from the Duomo Square which is filled with several churches built in the late baroque period (World heritage UNESCO) where you can go shopping during the day and party during the night all year round.
B&B Globetrotter Catania is located 5 km from the airport, 1 km from the railway station, 300 metres from the port, 700 metres from the beach, 30 minutes from Etna, 40 minutes from Taormina and 60 minutes from Siracusa.
Service at the hotel
We are very friendly here and will help you with any problems you have as soon as you arrive and we like to get to know our guests over good cup of coffee or tea. We will give you a map of the city and any information you need for your stay. We know all about about the city, and it would be our pleasure to advise you about anything you need. We also organize social and cultural events with our guests and friends if you would like to participate.

B&B Globetrotter on internet reserch because it was a low cost accommodation for quite good services, but it is much more....apart from the quality and the atmosphere of this hostel, the staff and the owner speak many languages and they spent lots of time with us during breakfast giving us tips about city and places to visit and last night we went out all together for having dinner and couple of beer with their friends...unforgettable. We had an appartment for 3 days, it was very nice although the spiral stairs were a little scary after a bottle of wine! It was quiet, clean and roomy, with plenty of hot water and nice shower. Our last nights stay was in a room that was comfortable, and clean just what we wanted after 3 days touring. The staff were very friendly and helpful, top marks to them. Read more
