It is the only hotel on the north rim, next to the old faithful inn in the Yellowstone NP this hotel is one of the historic hotels in the United States. The view from the main hotel building on the north rim is simply stunning. In front of the hotel building you will find a bar, a snack bar, a post office and a visitor center. That is why urgently highly recommended, very long in advance reserve (in my case I have a year before reserved). Beautiful historic lodge directly at the slope of the north rim, extensive area with many cabins (cabins) different class comfort. All in rustic timber construction. We had a Frontier cabin with two beds, comfortable furnishings and large enough bathroom. Cleanliness and laundry spotless. The Mousetrap under the desk was thankfully not to use. The whole area has the charm, the you would expect, the surrounding area is great to the hiking and the north rim gorgeous. The hotel has a great location the north rim of the Grand Canyon directly at the edge. Spectacular views and great the Rangers have this hotel unforgotten made. Good restaurant. Read more

... There is a Delishop, a post office, a giftshop and a Visitercenter. If you've never the Grand Canyon, for the this place is definitely very spectacular and not as crowded as the South rim. Make sure you get the outermost View Point Walhalle Overlook and Cape Royal visit. I have to say, the South rim view is still a bit overpowering. We did not have dinner used.
