    ... could use the restaurant in the Grand Makadi. That should be improved. Apart from that, we had no complaints about the restaurants, the food was delicious and the waiters friendly, but as I said, small tips were always advisable :o) The hotel location was very good. Only a few minutes from the room to the pool/beach. Hurghada was about 35 minutes away, and could therefore also be reached quickly, but the hotel was still remote enough to offer peace and quiet.     The hotel was beautiful and super clean, the rooms were in perfect condition and so clean that we could have eaten from the floor! There were all age groups in the hotel, lots of Swiss and Austrian guests. All restaurants are recommended. After 22 stays in Egypt, I can compare the different hotels quite well. The double rooms were very large and clean, had appropriate furniture, TV, safe, balcony, mini bar, telephone, air conditioning (adjustable) and a huge bed!     My partner and I spent one week at the Grand Makadi hotel in July 07 and we had a lovely time. Rooms were large, cool and cleaned up to 3 times a day. Service was excellent, all the staff were extremely helpful and polite at all times. The food was good, and the quality of the restaurants in terms of service and food served was all to a high standard. For a week of relaxation in the sweltering heat we could not fault a thing at this hotel, only small gripe is that there could be a few more sunbeds around the pool, getting up at 7am on yo...
