The hotel is situated in the heart of the modern main station Kyoto ('Jr = Japan railway') and is therefore ideal as starting point for all sights of the City/Area.
We arrived at the airport and had a very Osaka umkomplizierten transfer with the 'Jr' Hotel granvia Kyoto to, duration: 70 minutes, price: around 25 euro per person second class ticket.

The hotel is centrally located in the modern Kyoto main station. However, it is structurally so well isolated, that you can see from the hustle and bustle of the train station relatively little easier. The downside is however, that no window for fresh air can be opened. You have to this Regulation by the hotel completely abandoned. The train station is unfortunately not located in the centre of the city of Kyoto. But you are quite easy and fast with the metro into the centre. This is a lovely, modern hotel, part of the gigantic train station complex that includes two food courts, an underground shopping mall, and one of those department store basement take-out emporiums, as well as the train station and the main city bus depot.
