The hotel deserves more than two stars. The area was dirty the staff was rude and no one spoke German. Snorkelling we were not allowed because there was a lifeguard for the huge area a joke. The food was there were not only chicken and pasta every day. Fruit like bananas or oranges if you were lucky. Read more

I honestly don't know why ppl are complaining! The food was good, with a wide variety to suit everyone, the staff are friendly and helpful, they always say hello and have a smile. The rooms are cleaned daily, fresh sheets and towels. The pool and pool areas are clean, and the sunbeds are comfy. All in all we had a brill time and would defo recommend ppl to go. The rooms are large with two double beds, bathroom with shower and bath, air-con, tv with a variety of differnt channels for different nationalities, balcony, minibar (not included ... Read more

My friend and I stayed at the Hauza for a week and loved every minute of it!! It's spotlessly clean and the staff are so lovely! The meals in the main restaurant are served at perfect times with fairly long slots and other snacks are available between. Drinks are 24 hours and are of decent quality for an all inclusive hotel. The rooms are lovely with high quality furnishings and very comfortable beds. Sheets seem to be changed daily and rooms cleaned every day to a very high standard. You may even sometimes return to find a little animal... Read more

Very nice and well-kept area with very courteous staff. Food was good and varied almost " around the clock ". Super beautiful reef near the hotel and the beach, so you can relax. Bad English is enough! If you are unlucky enough you will meet the unpleasant Russians (exception prove the rule :-)))) Otherwise highly recommended. We will go again. Read more

Do be prepared & take immodium as tummy upsets are highly probable but this isn't due to the food or cleanliness of the hotel it is a multitude of things & the biggest reason is the change of climate along with drinking alcohol & of course the change of your diet-so isn't necessarily food poisoning as many reviews state.

In the UK this kind of behaviour would lead to prosecution, why behave that that on holiday? PLEASE show these staff some respect when speaking to them, they work every hour God sends for very little money to ensure that you have a good holiday, the very least they should be able to expect in return is some common courtesy.

however, we have just spent 2 weeks in a lovely clean hotel, and there being 13 of us, ranging in age from 8-61 we wanted a great holiday, ok this is not a 5* hotel as advised, this is more like a 3*, food was good, but repetitive and became boring during the second week, rooms were cleaned daily and to a lovely standard, housekeeping staff earn there money!

a nice hotel, great beach but the all inclusive was awful, myself and my husband arenot fussy eaters but my god the food is awful, no veriety, cold, the same meat/veg dishes everyday, we are not really fast food eaters but thank god for mcdonalds which we had to have delivered to the hotel 4 times a week otherwise i would of starved, DONT eat the pizzas at the pool bar, i was waiting in the que for a nice fresh pizza, they place the dough straight onto the stone oven but then horror, the chef picked up and dirty black mop out of a filthy mop bucket and then i watched him clean the oven with it and i asked what the hell are you doing, his reply was, I am oiling the oven so the pizza dough does not stick, yuck, no wonder we had bad bellys, nice hotel but please please change hotels if you can, you have been warned

The hotel seemed nice the staff friendly, our room was flooded with dirty water we were moved to a better room,we made the mistake of paying for a bbq on the beach on the mon night, when we got there they told us we had to pay extra for our son, while waiting for the food there were giant ants crawling everywhere, mosquitoes biting us (especially me) it was a nightmare, when we got up to leave they called us and said we owed 258 Egyptian pounds for our son(we only paid 338 Egyptian pounds for myself and my husband) in the early hours of tuesday morning i had very bad stomach cramps and had diarrhoea which lasted most of the week.

There is no real entertainment area and virtually no entertainment people just sit by the pool at night.
    • in August 10
No entertainment other than evening disco for really young uns – posters advertising kids party – didn’t happen – no word from reps on what’s going on – most evening entertainment didn’t turn up – the pool bar you sit in the dark as no lights around the place or you can go to the Lobby bar but no music or entertainment Small plastic cups provided for all drinks – you really need to take your own large plastic cups and if you want alcohol again take your own glasses – they will fill them up Horrible mixers coke, sprite etc for drinks Large ants within room and walkways – however they need blast them every evening Overall had a good time, food and drink is very poor though - hotel has all facilities just don’t use them.

The Hauza Beach Resort is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed in.
    • in August 10
By far the worst All inclusive i have ever been to, the food was uneatable, we tried it the first two night and all ended up with upset Tummies, the choice of food was disgracefull, nothing for the kids to eat other than bread, most nights you had the choice of Rice, Pasta and Beef Liver which was served one night as steaks and the next night as shredded beef liver mixed with all sorts of things, obviously left overs from previous day, the pasta was just blanched in dirty hot water and served, the rice had stood tyepid for many hours and we were well imformed by employee's this is what gives us all upset stomachs, the advertismenets state 24 hours snack bar which is true but you have to pay extra for burgers, pizza's or fries, they do have free food late evening which is pasta etc which was left over from lunch and dinner, we did not have fries or nuggets any nights for dinner which you normally find fro kids at all inclusives.
    • in August 10
This is the worst hotel we have EVER stayed in by a mile.
    • in August 10
I have read reviews from people who were at the hotel the same time as myself and I cannot beleive the comments, hotels in Egypt do not give drinks in plastic throw away childrens cups, this only happens at this hotel, I have been to Egypt on three seperate occasions, and this is by far the worst hotel I have ever been to.
    • in June 10
This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever been to it looks old and run down its a health and safety nightmare with trenches just dug out in paths and un even walk ways, the rooms are crap and we did not get our sheets changed for a week, until we put them on the floor, it was never swept and the floor was dirty, you would only eat the food if you had to and lookout for the tummy bugs it's not pretty and to top it all you do not get left alone all week there is always someone there trying to get you to have something extra.
    • in May 10
Before going i read some mixed reviews on here and so kept an open mind, but I can honestly say THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT.

this hotel is one of the best places we've stayed in, we liked it so much we've been here twice, the rooms are basic but well kept and clean, which is all u need when your only sleeping in the room, with direct access to a private beach and supurb snorkelling, there is plenty to do if you just want a chilled out relaxing holiday, alternitvely if you want a bit of hustle and bustle naama bay is just a short taxi ride away (dont forget to haggle) food is pretty good for an egyptian all inclusive, there is somethig for everyone, if ur not sure about the quisine then there is always the pasta station, i dont understand the bad reviews about this place we found it to be everything we need from a relaxing holiday, its simple, if ur nice to the staff they will remember and then they will bend over backwards to help u if you ever need it, rudeness gets u ziltch!
    • in October 10

    • in August 10
They have all been programmed to get as much money from tourists as possible (in leiu of putting up with other cultures), the scams started with the taxi from the airport asking for 5 times the going rate and didnt stop till we boarded the plane to come home; been travelling for over 20 years, never felt compelled to comment before - never been homesick before - 2 weeks of underlying intimidation, rudeness and indifference because tips where not forthcoming on their terms (I believe in tipping only when good service is received) - a waste of money except for time spent on trips or on the beach with head in a book or eyes closed (to ward off constant sales men)
    • in July 10
good location very friendly , a little tired ref rooms and amenities but good service for hwat we paid , definitlely noy a five star but good four star , beds were hard but the complex was large and split so that kids can be kids and adults can be adults !
    • in July 10
As for the tipping thing, the local people are not paid a lot of money and rely on tips, I tipped our cleaner (Mohammed, building 2) after I had received good service from him a couple of days into the holiday, I tipped the Quad Biking guides as they were lovely people and allowed the kids to drive the Quads half way through the trip, I tipped a waiter for carrying 13 drinks on a tray from the beach bar to the Jungle Pool.

i would say 2 anybody who thinking of going is take a large glass for yr drinks as you only get small glasses which is a pain going backwards and forwards to the bar, there was a few people who had a moan about things saying they had let the place go but the staff tryed 2 put things right straight away which was nice 2 see they did try to please everyone overall stay for me and my partner was good and we will be going back.

The nightly entertainment was getting a few people from the audience and ridiculing them, i thinks the props and lines were made up the day of the entertainment, this was due to start at 9.
    • in August 10
I would also advise people NOT to book with them as I over heard a few people talking about how they had scammed them.
    • in August 10
Plastic cups not a problem as we had read the reviews and took our own and shared them with a few people who we met.

The only time I saw staff being rude to guests is when the guests were rude first and quite frankly, the way some people treat these guys is not nice.

    • in June 10
Some of the staff are rude and can regularly be viewed picking their nose and then handling your tiny plastic disposable glass whilst getting you a drink, this is if you are lucky enough to get to the end of the queue at the bar.

beach was amazing, DOWN SIDES very uneven paths, and LOTS of steps, your given 2 vouchers 1 for a fish resturant and 1 for a indian resturant within the complex, ummm worth a miss, you can only have these during the day between 1-2pm, and in 48 degree heat thats probably not what you want to be doing, and when we went for the indian meal we were told we could only have 2 drinks whilst we were there, amazing for an all-inclusive package, pizzas were free at the beach bar but if you wanted a burger or something different then you had to pay extra, To sum it up the hotel is great if you want to have a lazy beach/pool holiday but if your looking for something with life dont bother, everybody we spoke to seemed to be in bed by 10pm!

Read the reviews and thought Oh no what have I done, however, it’s not all that bad, normal family 2 adults, 2 kids aged 11 and 7 and my mum – all summarized below: Good Location of hotel The reef is fantastic – don’t believe other hotels have this as good The beach is great - the walk back up the hill from the beach in the heat isn’t easy Cleanliness of room and room size etc – bit tired but is fine for the amount of time you spend in it Swimming pool Water slides – however does need better life guarding Bad The food not much choice or variety – normal for all inclusive however everything is in a sauce and portion sizes are ridiculous small on the items that you may like and no normal potatoes etc also see comment below for kids - Manager does not want to listen and keeps saying that no one else has complained - this is nonsense.

    • in September 10
There is an option for the Indian and Fish restaurant, we only tried the Indian and it was nice, plenty of it but not out of this world, plus you had limited drinks during the meal (lunchtimes only) Bar - cups are small but we brought our own, staff could have been a bit more amicable about filling them though, some were okay and others would only fill bottles half up?? not sure what that was about? Pools - brilliant, plenty to choose from, lots of sunbeds all clean and kept the kids busy all day long Beach - lovely area and great snorkelling in both the deep and the shallow area for smaller children or scaredy cats like me Locals - yes you do get asked to go on trips but once you say you have no intention they do tend to leave you alone.

    • in August 10
Wine very watered down and undrinkable, beer was ok.
    • in August 10
the only down side for me was the alcohol was not very nice the beer ok but the rest tasted like paint stripper so take duty free with you as all hotels the same Its not just the HAUZA and take big plastic cup with you as they serve juice, beer, spirits all in tiny kids cups .
    • in July 10
The drinks were okay beer was nice and the spirits were okay (drinkable) sometimes not so much as they are not always kept cold.
    • in June 10
the beer is ok but the wines n spirts taste like petrol!
    • in March 10
if you have booked to go here already, don't panic, it is OK, just take some alcohol with you if you want a drink, as the spirits are terrible, beer ok, so long as you like it served in plastic children's party cups.
    • in March 10
All wines where undrinkable Spirits never tasted nice except rum Beer just about ok Payed for a return shuttle from hotel to Nabq bay pick up at 22.
    • in September 10
Well some would call it that, the beer is ok, the wine totally undrinkable, spirits are cheap eqyptian brands that taste of meths and seem to contain absolutely no alcohol 'odd' the coke and lemo is flat and sweet and what ever you do, do not expect any ice in the whole hotel, day or night.
    • in September 10
      Beer ok.
    • in September 10
But the buffet/bbq was lovely we could always find something to eat (the cakes at breakfast WOW) & again the staff made a real effort to make sure you had all you wanted The paths & steps around the hotel need some work we did see a young disabled girl fall & my heels stayed in my case & a tip if you enjoy a favourite tipple take a bottle with you the local drink is just that the beer is ok & the red wine is better for a light touch of lemonade Oh & a plastic beaker as the cups are very small but the amazing bar staff will fill your own cups Plenty of sunbeds around the pools & beach & again the staff here 5* It is the 1st AI hotel that we've been that you have to pay for extra's like ice cream ,chips, etc but they are extra's so it's your choice The guys aroung the pool selling massage & trips are also very friendly & will accept no as an answer so thats no problem The evening entertainment needs a bit of thought not enough going on & not enough seating to have a drink unless you want to sit on sunbeds But the animation team are doing their best during the day with various activity's Jackie & the other customer service guys were on hand if needed All in all a very nice happy hotel & holiday

Now the food was ok for the first couple of days but then you find that its repeated i went down with a bad stomach and lived on soup and bread for the remainder of the holiday im not a fussy eater but when i went into the canteen my stomach started churning.
    • in August 10
IWe found that the owners were always trying to keep an eye on what went on and asking if holiday makers were happy with what was going on, ie: being asked if your food was OK in the restuarant etc.
    • in October 10
The food was OK for us in the restaurant although we stuck to rice, bread etc.
    • in October 10
FOOD - was ok and I was probably the only one in our party that wasn't ill but I stayed away from anything that wasn't hot and freshly cooked and mainly ate the safe options of rice, potatoes & bread but to be fair there wasn't a great deal of other choice.
    • in September 10
this is deff not a 5 star but a good 3 star hotel, its very hilly with lots of steps down to the beach and jungle pool's, the food is ok not alot of choice, if u like cakes ur in heaven there was loads to choose from they really cater for the russian's here who also are really rude, the staff do a good job but it would be nice to see them smile abit more most of them are rude and very sleezy when it come's to girls.
    • in September 10
The food was OK - my partner always found something to eat - there was also beef, chicken or fish, and then veg, potatoes of some sort, fresh soup (carrot soup and tomato soup was nice, but the vegetable soup had soooo much oil in it that I couldn't eat it after that!
    • in September 10
was very worried when i read the reviews but me and my family loved it,we had 2 rooms with 4 double bed so a bed each, clean towels everyday had a hairdryer in the bathroom and a fridge in the main bedroom, staff were very friendly, food was ok always found something to eat,the pools were great the rock pool with the slides was great for my kids, and the beach was amazing, take a large plastic cup thou for the drinks as they only give you little cups,we took them so had no problems.
    • in September 10
ok the food is as most describe boring and bland after a time but that is no different to any other ai holiday in most countries at thsi price range .
    • in August 10
the restaraunt was very busy, but what do you expect in august ? we did moan about the drinks being served in small plastic cups but if you supply your own the staff will fill these.
    • in September 10
Make sure you buy big plastic cups otherwise you will have drink out of very small plastic cups!
    • in August 10
Yes, the drinks were served in small plastic cups but we just ordered a few at a time and found it to be more convenient than large cups of drink which would get warm if not drank straight away anyway.
    • in September 10
Just one thing, take your own tall cup or flask as they give out all drinks in small plastic cups.
    • in August 10
Drinks in small plastic cups luke warm too.
    • in August 10
The drinks are served in small plastic cups which are only the size of the cups you get at a water dispenser at work so take your own beakers as they fill these to the top.
    • in July 10
Do take your own plastic beaker if you remember, this is essential if you want to cut down on the amount of trips up to the bar as they only have small plastic cups and the queues can get long at lunchtime.
    • in August 10
I suggest you bring some larger plastic cups with you or you can buy them over the road at the shop as the drinks are served in very small plastic cups.

The god darn awful food and alcohol.
    • in August 10
The food was awful and would assume a prison canteen in Britain would have served up better food, and also dont like having to do the conga when getting my food.
    • in August 10
One of the animation staff also agreed with us when we mentioned how awful the food was and she said that she wont eat there either as its disgusting and that her and some other members of staff all go down the road to eat to !
    • in August 10
FOOD IS AWFUL EVEN ONE OF THE CHEFS TOLD US NOT TO EAT THE RICE AS IT IS LEFT STANDING FOR HOURS AND WOULD MAKE US ILL, WHICH IT DID !
    • in May 10
Food was awful- we both had food poisoning by our 4th night, as did many other people we spoke to at the hotel.
    • in May 10

    • in February 10
a nice hotel, great beach but the all inclusive was awful, myself and my husband arenot fussy eaters but my god the food is awful, no veriety, cold, the same meat/veg dishes everyday, we are not really fast food eaters but thank god for mcdonalds which we had to have delivered to the hotel 4 times a week otherwise i would of starved, DONT eat the pizzas at the pool bar, i was waiting in the que for a nice fresh pizza, they place the dough straight onto the stone oven but then horror, the chef picked up and dirty black mop out of a filthy mop bucket and then i watched him clean the oven with it and i asked what the hell are you doing, his reply was, I am oiling the oven so the pizza dough does not stick, yuck, no wonder we had bad bellys, nice hotel but please please change hotels if you can, you have been warned
    • in October 10
Yes the drinks come in tiny plastic cups but most people either brought there cups or went to starbucks and brought large plastic ones back to use.
    • in October 10
The drinks were served in small disposable plastic cups but we took plastic tumblers with us and the bar staf fwere happy to fill these up.
    • in October 10
simple solution is to take your own large pint plastic cups!
    • in October 10
Make sure you take your owm large plastic cups as the bar serves drinks in tiny ones and they are normally only half full.
    • in September 10
The food was very good with a different choice every day, buffet style that you all que up for unlesss you`re russian(we had great fun telling them people to get to the back of the que) All inclusive means - Breakfast lunch and dinner, and a pizza at the beach bar plus all the drinks you need 24hours a day but if your kids want an ice cream you have to pay 1EURO TOP TIPS - English money is no good - Take loads of euros - Make sure you go snorkeling off the jetti (its a must) take snorkel with you -Drinks are served in 1/4 pint plastic cups, we took pint glasses"plastic"which they dont mind filling but to be quite honest they got too warm too quick so the 1/4 pint cups will do.
    • in September 10
If you want to spend your holiday in a basic resort and dont mind drinking the poor quality beverages from tiny plastic cups and listening to ignorant, loud russians then give the Hauza Beach a try.
    • in September 10
All the hotels do drinks in plastic cups as they don't want broken glass everywhere.
    • in August 10
the drinks ok spirits were a bit stonger but my husband enjoyed the beer and take your own plastic cups we took pint cups and they happily filled them, but they do only serve the drinks in little plastic cups round the bars etc so save you having to go up so many times.
    • in August 10
I suggest you bring some larger plastic cups with you or you can buy them over the road at the shop as the drinks are served in very small plastic cups.
