We booked this hotel as part of tour inhabited and I must say, it was by far the worst hotel I have ever inhabited. From the outside it is quite acceptable, the lobby area is a bit positive hope. But as soon as you step out of the elevator and the dark endless hallway toward the room, you can tell that this is not a Wellness-will stay. The rooms are a great size, but are ancient and shabby. Entscheided you for those visiting the big island should you feel, due to the size of the island, two hotels select a hotel on the east side and a hotel on the west side. The east wing offers for excursions to the volcanoes national park in Hawaii, by, among other things, a lava cave and active Volcano could be admired. Good location for volcano national park. Tacky, old decor. No safe in the room (free at the reception). Hotel was used only for overnight stay, and quite simply: we have got the exactly, what we also (only) have paid. The room was on the seventh floor and had a balcony with view of the sea. Castle Hilo hawaiian is the in the years come. We had a superior room on the seventh floor (room 731) with a view on the banyan drive. The room had a clean carpet, old, wallpapers and worn-out furniture easily scuff, the but were basically OK. We had a king size bed and a small CRT televisions. It was no safe, no hair dryer and a clothes rail as an open closet with the sink.
Due to the airport is a certain noise inevitable.
