Internet was expensive, they had a little business center where you paid in order to access one of the 4 computers there and there was wi-fi in the rooms, again for a substantial charge, I believe around $25 US for 24 hours.

Service
- constant maintenance

- in November 09
Service was decent, we liked the wood floors in the rooms and the high ceilings, noticed really dated artwork on the walls, but we enjoyed that they had the "US style" electric outlets with the 3 prongs - so we were able to charge a laptop - but was also misleading as no other hotels in any of the other Tahitian islands have such plugs, they are all standard Tahiti plugs.

I tried to contact to manager to complain but the front desk informed me that the manager was "too busy" (?) and when I tried to explain my negative experiences to the front desk, they suddenly didn't understand English anymore.

When I arrived at the hotel, the staff informed me that nobody was present to carry my bags and if I wanted to have my bags brought to my room, I needed to wait for an hour.

- proximity to location

Nothing you could really walk to from the hotel, it is in a sketchy, busy area (but you are safe when you are on hotel grounds), but it is close to the airport - maybe 5KM - which when you arrive at night like we did, and have to pay that Taxi fare from the airport - it will be the most expensive short taxi ride of your life - but there are no alternatives - it's too far to walk.

The rest of our room was very tired, with dark wood furniture, plenty of chips, bumps and scratches, an antique TV set, all like a Holiday Inn of the 1970s.

The most unpleasant surprise was breakfast: it is truly unbelievable but a lot of the hotel staff eats from the buffet.
