The Hor Palace Hotel is been refubished slow but surely, the hotel is centrally located and would be ideal for bed & breakfast we could not complain with the quality of the food at breakfast, although the evening meal was a bit hit and miss & was not of good quality. The staff were very friendly and would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. We purchased food for our wedding anniversery whilst staying in the hotel (as a treat) and found it a lot better quality than what was being served up on the buffet for the evening meal, so it showed... The area was by and large very nice. The pathes were leading through a very colorful garden and along two lakes. The beach consisted of fine sand. The hotel was suitable for a realxing holiday. But it's not recommendable to go there with children, as they would get bored quickly. We got one of the old bungalows. But it was okay. The bathroom took a little getting used to at first, but if you didn't touch anything you absolutely had to, it was okay. I think it wasn't bad by Egyptian standards. The beds were good. Food bad, food from evening carried over to next day lunch. Hot food barely warm. Lack of choice at lunch. Lack of friut and fresh vegatables. Only really hot and freshly cooked food was Omletes and Panckes for breakfast. No hot desserts in evening. Soup like dishwater but was hottish. Many people had tummy troubles.
