Fridge dirty, bathroom completely worn, loungers by the pool constantly full bird excrement, chairs on the beach dirty and worn out. Cocktails partly not enjoyable. Quality only shortly before the weekly review by the guests something better. Glasses or cups at the pool bar were rarely clean. It is reasonable value for money here absolutely not. We were already in many Iberostar -hotels but the Iberostar tainos was really the last. From cleanliness does anyone here something. A great shame. Read more

Good hotel, individual areas were used, like for instance the furniture in the lobby, partially room amenities but for Cuban proportions hardly expect. The only thing which was to be criticized, is the mold on the walls and curtains in the room and related musty odor. For asthmatics can be a solid problem be. Apart from that friendly staff in the hotel and at the beach, very beautiful hotel complex, beautiful beach. Peaceful location. For Cuban proportions the hotel is recommendable. Read more

The hotel area was neat and very nice.
the complex consists of a main building I believe floors 4 and 2-story bungalows. In a bungalow are always four units.
the complex is not too big and not too small. It is a short walk, whether to the beach, restaurant, main building, pool, theater / disco and so on

Dress warm, if you in the restaurant the hotel Los tainos go to eat. The air conditioning in the main restaurant is outdated and is not be regulated, either it is very cold ( the air conditioning was less than 15 degrees set) or the quite turned off. To each meal was the of the restaurant like stepping into a cold chamber. The numerous complaints as nothing really change, at best was the air conditioning completely turned off. We had hoped for more from the hotel, it is very shabby, the lobby is very old with rock hard chairs and a lot of smoke. The pool chairs on the beach and by the pool very old, dirty and worn. Beach was very nice but the water was too cold to swim in December 20 C about. Staff in the restaurant and pool bar lazy waiting on CUC's, then one is served. Rooms were cleaned badly. only down side no air conditioning in main bar area got very warm at night entertainment not great in show room but musicans in bar at night where very good me and my wife stayed here for two weeks sheer haven we are going back but to the sister hotel as this one was booked out also never suffered from mozzies at all not like some of the guest in other hotels in varadero stayed in sept 2009 this is not a holiday of excitment its a tropical paradise just for relaxing and chilling out a few flea markets a lovely park and a few shops in varadero but overall most enjoyingUnique Quality: the pool was beautiful and the services we received from the staff was excellent the fittness gym was quite good but the massages were to die for the veiw from our veranda was fantastic our maid done everything we requested and more beautifully kept gardens and spotless clean every where

on arrival we where greeted with complimentary drinks and our checkin was fast our porter brought our luggage to the room pronto, the room was in the main hotel not one of the bungalows the room was very spacious and so was the bathroom yes a bit aged but spotless clean the food was excellent and i should know as i am one of the fusseist eaters around plenty of choice from salads to fruit and hot grill selection plenty to drink with breakfast lunch and dinner staff were pleasant and helpful.
