We were stunned, as we the room. Very nice room, large, welcoming with great views. It is very stylish equipped and very quiet. The bathroom was also very nice and contrary to some comments absolutely okay. The staff are very friendly. Only downsides are the prices for extras such as breakfast and cleaning. We thought it was overpriced. Location wise, the hotel is ideally located. Read more

The Intercontinental is great nearby the botanic gardens, the ferries, the opera House and harbor bridge. We recommend a room with a view of the bridge and the opera house. Within walking distance is 15 minutes in the city. All major transport Zentrum are only a couple of hundred meters away. For a city trip or a stopover in the best way suitably. Read more

The hotel is very centrally located, only a few steps away from the Circular QUI and opera house. From there you can travel by bus, ferry, and subway all of the attractions and beaches. I had a room on the 21st floor with a view of the city, very spacious, well furnished, and almost always perfectly clean. The hotel's facilities (sport, catering) I didn't use. There are countless restaurants and cafes in the immediate vicinity, but these are still very expensive (like most in Australia). The hotel is at walking distance from the center by f... Read more

The hotel is very smart and the staff all very helpful and friendly! Our room (2023) in 20. Floor was a corner room with a view of the harbor and the bridge and it was very spacious. The room was nicely decorated and very clean! The central location of the hotel, are opportunities for shopping, restaurants and the port in just a few minutes per feed away from our hotel. The pool and the gym are located in the 31. Floor with a great view. The view from the fitness studio is geared toward city, the pool area offers a really amazing views of th... Read more

Its one thing I look for in a good hotel that is so hard to find, maybe replace the water waster toilet and turn the shower pressures up!
    • in May 10
Prices are skyhigh and you clearly pay for the location, you don't pay topdollars for the hotel which is good, but nothing special.

its often the little things I trully belive can make the difference between a good hotel and a GREAT hotel and this hotel and its staff are trully the later.

The best parts of the stay were: - TV in the room was a new LCD - room was very clean - the bath towels were the size good hotel towels are supposed to be: massive - we both had a great night's sleep on the king bed - the air conditioning adjusted exactly as set - the view from the gym and the pool is awesome; with the facilities in the gym more than you could ask for (maybe some cups to go with the water fountain please!

Chosen for its location and opportinity of the best view of the fireworks what should have been a memorable occasion turned out to be a bitter disappointment.

    • in April 10
I booked a harbour view room, and the harbour was indeed visible but only as a verticle slit of water glimpsed between the two buildings opposite so check what you are getting for your money before parting with the extra cash for a harbour view (as opposed to the distinctly ordinary city view.

    • in May 10
The views are outstanding from the higher floors but the bathrooms are older style(no seperate shower)and the bed was not as comfortable as the Westin.

It took us ages to find the place but it's not like we researched where it was, exactly, but I wish i could have know where the proper entrance was as I ended up driving under the building into a hugely crowded carpark - understandable as it was a busy weekend - but I had borrowed a fairly fancy car and was a bit nervous, really.
    • in October 09
Overall, apart from location there was no such great thing that the hotel offered to us specially if you are staying there for 7 nights and being a very well known 5 star hotel in the world.
