Islande hotel is located on the Kipsala peninsula in the centre of Riga - a 10 minute walk from the Old Town. It was opened in March 2006.
For the comfort of our guests we offer 205 well equipped rooms. All rooms are arranged in modern Scandinavian style.
Guests will enjoy the cosy atmosphere of our Restaurant Reykjavik on the ground floor and the Restaurant Artic Light on the 9th floor. Guests are welcome to taste delicious drinks and dishes while taking in the marvellous panoramic view to Riga.

From the restaurant Reykjavik (1. Floor), you should try to stay away at night. The staff is in the rather small restaurant was completely overwhelmed. Although not all the tables were full, we waited over an hour for a cold appetizer wait. Also the other waiting times were unreasonably long. I know the Islande Hotel since 2 years and have to say it was the down side developed. Especially the staff make a very motivated impression. Here proved especially the barkeeper as negative highlight. We were in a group of business in January. The outside temperature was partly -25 degrees, which resulted in some rooms only were informed that they did a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. We were completely satisfied to that on the reservation "sauna use" we had dinner in the sauna but wanted to the hotel for its guests only being a "morning sauna", I think 11 hours a day. If you tried to get in at night you have to pay for. Above there was a spa, massage from 12 lats. Above is an outdoor bar (open until October) with views of the old town and an indoor restaurant.
