This modern 2-storey, 49-room lodge was totally renovated in 1997. Guests check in at the neighbouring El Tovar Hotel. This unique property is one of the closest to the South Rim.

The spacious rooms are designed to reflect the South-western spirit. All rooms have 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds, a fully fitted bathroom, TV, telephone, fridge and coffee maker.

We did experience, the room with a view of the Grand Canyon through a direct booking with Xanterra is possible, because this alternative was offered. When booking through a travel agency we were basically a room with a view of the parking lot. ... on deer. The walking since all over the place. Cool. Minor inconvenience at the Kachina Lodge is the limited parking. Unfortunately, they were not reserved for hotel guests, and the sunset or evening there are only lucky to get parking.
The rooms are not huge, but big enough. They have everything you need. Coffee maker and coffee, tea are available, as well as TV and safe. the hotel room was clean, in comparison to the other hotels we stayed in during our trip was really very small, especially the bathroom. However you need for a night is not really a lot of space. Therefor the location is on the canyon-Rand (20m and you're there) really fantastic (the sunrise is second to none). The room rate was about 95.00 euro per person in double room proud, but like I said, it was well worth it!
