The most difficult this hotel is by car, as a reference to a possibly parking lot, there is supposedly at the hotel. When I asked I was told, I'm in the parking hotel in the pedestrian zone, then I would shown the way to the parking lot. Finally, I had to go back and was to be found in a public lot, which was also difficult. Otherwise, the staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was very tidy, only fresh fruit I missed. The hotel is in a central location of Goslar could not convince us. Antique, but very good and tastefully modernized house directly on the market. The single room under the pitch was rather small, but otherwise okay with a view over the roofs. I have visited the Rammelsberg (the guided walking tours to the underground water wheels in part Röderstollen) and am by steam train on the Brocken risks. A 2-hour guided city tour was in the 4-day package included and very entertaining. The arrival with the car in the pedestrian area is a bit of a hassle, after unloading of luggage but on a few minutes walk from garage (time as long as booked) lead. The location is second to none, from our room directly onto the market square, in the December was the Christmas market and, although we, as many of these markets know Vienna the atmosphere was in Goslar incomparable, with stalls set in a real forest, built with conifers and a living nativity scene (with ochs and donkeys).
