Hotel Kandholhu Cruise & Spa

We were for the second time on Kandholhu and for the eighth time on the Maldives. Short and sweet : The formerly dreamlike reef nearby is as good as dead. Many corals were dead or by storms. Nevertheless are luckily very lots of fish ( Sharks, turtles...) to see. There is no European chef more. The food is OK. Times better or worse but the culinary highlights of the past are history. As already often described, is Kandholhu a very small, private island. Only something for peace searching, Divers & snorkelers and for all, the activities and'luxury' we'll be able to do. the luxury on Kandholhu consists of just 18 bungalows, a fabulous reef nearby, good service and delicious dinner. Everything our heart used has, was available! guests came end of January mostly from Switzerland, some German and Italian. Age 30 plus. Our trip to Kandholhu was our vacation on the Maldives. We have the island carefully chosen, because of the many positive Reports in various forums and evaluation site and also because of many conversations with other Maldives traveller. The Inselbild is absolutely so, as we it us presented. Dreamlike beach, full Green and not too crowded. The island in the north of the Ari atoll is a dream, is a fantastic reef surround. The white coral sand you can enjoy barefoot, the many palms donate shade. The bungalows are nicely arranged and 18 always clean, sometimes you would think alone on the island. The guests arrived from Switzerland, Austria and Germany. We had to fly through a flight transfer and did not know a day on which room we would get, we had standard, but we got deluxe. It was our second visit to Kandholhu after 2008. It was nice, but we must say, that the high level Kandho can keep. Especially the reef with numerous experiences, such as sharks, a octopus, Moray, turtles, a green Jobfish, eagle rays and even in the morning at 07:00 o'clock a huge Manta reef directly by the past, a dream!
