The hotel was already older, I think that would be a new structure of the guests very well. The bathtub in the bathroom could not be used by some guests, because the entrance is too high for some. We were only here three days and have us very probably felt. (4 star) the hotel is already something into the years come, but very well maintained. The room size is adequate and the facilities also adequate. The room are something dark, as there is lots of dark wood is processed. Not beautiful is the the beach chairs at the pool were all occupied at seven o'clock and the people after 9-only half the pool chairs in fitting took ten.
But noisy rules allowed is the ☹

the rooms are clean, not too big but nice, bathrooms nice and clean, the hotel hasnt been reconstructed 2 weeks ago, but it is still pleasant, no airco in the hallways and it can get very hot, all rooms have a sea view.

Our other options are the Kata Beach Resort (same company as the Karon Beach Resort) or the Movenpick which has exceptional grounds but to me always seems excessively humid and still in the ground because it's not exposed directly to the seabreezes like the Karon Beach Resort (best location of all) or the Hilton.

after just returning from thailand ive got very mixed feelings , i spent 6 nights in patong beach (the tourist capital) , it was quite dirty and dingy , the locals harass you from the time you leave your hotel to the time you return trying to sell you cheap ,copied items like t-shirts , shorts , singlets , watches and so much more , they can be quite cheap if you're prepared to haggle on price for about half an hour on every item , on the up side food and drinks are very cheap , especially if you like thai food , the local beer (singha or tiger) is so cheap approx $1.

we have just came back this is our second time in thailand , karon beach is perfect if your looking for a resort with nightlife aswell as a get away from it all resort i carnt say enough about the place great food freindly locals that dont hassel you like in other resorts ,we are now just waiting to book for next year. - in October 09
