... of Kemer . It was maybe 10-15 minutes by foot. There you can find clothes, souvenirs, and nice gifts, and book excursions in the local travel agencies. I really suggest that you book your side trips on the streets instead of in the hotel's travel agency. It's very beneficial to go into town on the first night and compare prices. It's hard to believe, but in town the prices were 4 times cheaper than in the hotel. For example,we booked rafting in the hotel for 40€. The next day in town, we found the same excursion for 15$. The Hotel is only 2 years old but falling apart. Most rooms have a balcony but some (numbers ending 27 & 28) are small. no balcony and next to the lift. We were given one of these but complained to a unresponsive manager and finally moved. The equipment in the gym only worked sometimes and no air conditioning. Second room was fairly soacious with balcony. Avoid rooms ending with 27 & 28 Rained one day and the hotel leaked. Generally friendly. They coped better with Russian and German. This hotel is full of Germans and Russians, and it is mainly their taste in food being catered for. Nice airy rooms, could be very noisy at times, and we didn't get a hot, or even very warm shower all week ! Some of the staff here were very good, and others were atrocious, ignorant and sullen. Probably because they were so used to being treated like dirt by the majority of the foreign guests. Some people have no manners, will not take their place in the queue, push you out of the way, and never say please or thankyou, its no wonder the staf...
