On our trip in Scotland we arrived at the Forss Country House, which is an old seat of Landadligen, that was converted to a hotel. The hotel is located in a small forest near the sea and a wonderful river (Fischerparadies). We were extremely thrilled from all of its charm and decor this venerable piles. Modern apartment complex in the heart of Edinburgh, but on a quiet side street in the canal. In the living/dining room are all technical equipment including I-pod dock available. Kitchen is fully equipped. (Including Washingmachine, dishwasher) All the sights and attractions are within walking distance, parking in the garage available for a fee. Very good location, from Waverley Bridge (terminus bus from the airport) in 5 minutes to reach by foot. From the airport, about 20 minutes away by bus. Ticket 3 , - pound per person. Room ... yes ... good size. Mattresses ok and hard, the room absolutely clairaudient. Not so much from the outdoor area more for that the interior. Every door flush and be heard.
