Kalamaki is a good place, from there cities to visit.
The prices of the meals at the beach are reasonably priced (in comparison to, for example, Heraklion)!

... and which you will here. The holiday in Knossos hotel was very reasonable. At L' tour, we paid per person per night for 14 days with breakfast, flight and car not even 600€. As you can expect of course not a great hotel. All in all though, we were pleasantly surprised. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The guests, primarily German, were very pleasant. We will definately go back to Kalamaki and the hospitality at this hotel. ... Read more

All holiday makers, with we visited this hotel in's conversation arrived ( most of all ages were German) thought they were on a Survivalurlaub - we loved it! We have nothing against simplicity, Contentment or original features, why it is to Kalamaki floored me and, therefore actually in this hotel. The place, the landscape, the people: Everything wonderful ( rental car advantageous ... ), But unfortunately not in this "hotel\": The room had no working shower, the beds were old, our terrace meeting point for all other guests, the smell of oil...
